Windows Live Writer vs. XHTML, Part 2

Looks like the new version of Windows Live Writer (beta 3) now supports XHMTL, time to give it another try.

UPDATE: OK, that was quick. From the looks of things, they replaced the old IE HTML control with a new HTML editor that was supposed to grok XHTML; however, it completely screws up various tags, the most important of which is the <pre> buy inserting an <br /> and space after the line. Of course that completely messes up anything within the <pre> tag.
