Goodbye VS 2005, Hello VS 2008

I was late to the VS 2005 upgrade party, mostly because we had about 150K of code in an ASP.NET application that we didn't want to change. Finally, I bit the bullet and upgraded, and I was more work than I expected, but VS 2005 was better than VS 2003 so I was worth it. I played it safe and kept a VPC image of a clean XP + VS 2003 which was a real time saver.

For VS 2008 I took the easy (perhaps crazy) approach and just dropped VS 2005 (and all of the updates and CTP) and installed it. So far so, good. There were only minor changes I made my applications - primarily on the configuration side and no code changes.
